#MCM- Brandon Knight, PG-SG, Phoenix Suns
@Hoover__26 December 14
Brandon Knight has been, no pun intended, absolutely lighting it up for the Suns. Knight averages over twenty points per game, as well as 5.4 assists and 4.4 boards. He was always a very talented player, but now that he is in Phoenix, he seems to be putting it all together. He is managing to score at an incredible rate, despite not being the lone man in the backcourt (Eric Bledsoe, Knight’s backcourt mate, is also a fantasy star for the Suns).
Knight, one of countless Kentucky products to end up in Phoenix, was drafted 55th overall in espn.com drafts. He has exceeded those expectations (and then some), and has become a true fantasy stud. Knight is shooting the best percentage from the field in his career, and is finally in a situation where he can score at will without having to “put the team on his back”. He really couldn’t be in a better spot, as he is surrounded by other young, talented players (as well as many Kentucky alums), and has a large role in the offense without being the only really potent scorer on the roster.
The one thing about Knight that I really like is, in stark contrast to other fantasy greats, he almost never has a game where he isn’t giving you solid production. Even in the rare instance where he scores only one point, he still gives you ten assists.
Brandon Knight is this week’s well deserving #MCM. My man crush only grows after every big game (if you were wondering, I do infact own him), and pretty soon you will be crushing too (if not already)!
