#MCM- Mirza Teletovic, F, Phoenix Suns
@Hoover__26 December 7
My man crush on Mirza Teletovic goes all the way back to his early days in Brooklyn (in 2012). As soon as I saw him play, as soon as I saw him shoot over slow power forwards, only one thing popped in my head (minus the hair):
Ok, so I know Mirza and Bird aren’t really in the same category, but Mirza is giving the Suns a great stretch-four option. Teletovic can score, score, then score some more, which is great for fantasy owners.
Mirza Teletovic, in his fourth year in the NBA, is shooting 44% from three point land, as well as career highs in Player Efficiency Rating and True Shooting Percentage (basketball-reference.com). Teletovic is a three point marksman, a skill which he uses on over 70% of his shots. Seriously, Mirza shoots most all of his shots from long range (according to basketball-reference.com, he hasn’t made a 10-16 foot shot yet this year). He can grab some boards, but his scoring is coming from downtown. His huge three pointer total adds quite a bit to his value for the 10.8% of espn.com fantasy players that own him.
This week’s #MCM is Mirza Teletovic, a guy who’s silky stroke I have adored for years. When you are in need of a deadeye shooter for your fantasy team, look Mirza’s way!
