Top Week Thirteen Tight Ends
@RJ_Kasper December 5
Greg Olsen @ NO ($6400) – Greg Olsen will be the highest owned TE this week with 27% ownership in Thursday field report on FanDuel. This is not a problem for you cash games, but in GPP is a great place to be contrarian with some of the other guys I listed. Olsen destroyed NO this year once, putting up 36 DK points. He is by far my favorite TE on the week and should be a good candidate to 3x salary pretty easily.
Delanie Walker vs Jac ($5700) – Delanie is the favorite target of Marcus Mariota and I am predicting this is the week the Titans finally get a win at home. If they are going to do that, it will be with at least one Delanie Walker TD. He gets the target volume, so you can trust him in cash, though with all the value you should be able to fit Olsen, which I recommend. Walker won’t be a sneaky GPP play but will make a great pivot off Olsen.
Jordan Reed vs Dal ($5300) – Reed remains a solid play week in and week out. He projects very similar to Walker, receiving a ton of targets from Cousins and heavily targeted in red zone as well. Dal now is without Romo for the rest of the season, so they can’t play keep away on offense like they want. This shifts the time of possession in favor of the Redskins, which means more opportunity for Reed. He is good in all formats as well.
Julius Thomas @ Ten ($4000) – I thought Thomas would be a little more sneaky in GPP, but Thursday he was 7% owned (still relatively contrarian but higher ownership than I would like). With Hurns out and Thomas coming off a big game, I will be going back to the well. This may be points chasing, but it sets up as a sharp play. He should be more involved and the Jags like to throw. Titans are better against the run and more vulnerable to the pass. Throw Thomas into some of your GPP lineups for sure.
Scott Chandler vs Phi ($2500) – At stone minimum, Chandler is a great bet to pay off salary. He has been targeted all year with Gronk in the game and shown he can gel with Brady and be relied on. Now that he is the only target at TE against a porous defense he is a lock to pay off his salary. Chandler won’t be sneaky and won’t be instaGRONK in this offense, but is great salary relief (if you need it) to allow you to pay up elsewhere.
