Top Week Thirteen Running Backs
@RJ_Kasper December 4
Chris Ivory @ NYG ($5900) – Okay so I don’t really know who the home team is here, does it matter? I think the Jets have a better, balanced offense and can get a lead for Ivory. If Revis is out, I would say Ivory is not my top RB but still certainly in play. I don’t want him in my cash games (too much value at the bottom of this list) but he is excellent in GPP. He doesn’t do much in the pass game, which hurts his value but I am comfortable with an 18-touch projection.
DeAngelo Williams vs Ind ($5600) – I like Williams a lot this week. The Colts have been pretty good against the run this year, but lost their main run stopper to a torn ACL a few weeks ago, leaving them vulnerable. I expect Pitt to win this game and Williams to be able to grind some clock. Colts can cover receivers well, so there will be times Ben needs to dump down to Williams, which is great for DK ppr. I am using him in cash and GPP.
Buck Allen @ Mia ($5400) – Baltimore doesn’t have much left on offense. Buck is an every down back. He catches balls and gets goal line work, what more could you ask for in a full PPR site like DraftKings? I think he is safe in cash and GPP, but check the weather first. It doesn’t affect his projection too much, but there are better options at better prices if it is pouring in Mia.
Thomas Rawls @ Min ($5400) – See that red 5 next to his name? That means people will look elsewhere. But Rawls, like Allen, gets all the touches (or most) including goal line and in the receiving game. Min is a good team and has a good D but I don’t see that hurting Rawls’s touch projection. There might be better cash game plays, but he is a strong pivot in GPP.
Darren McFadden @ Was ($5300) – McFadden is in similar spots as the above two guys (I am sensing a theme). I feel like a broken record, but he gets all the touches and is not game flow dependent. I think Washington will be the better team here (puke) with Romo done. McFadden should see plenty of check-downs and rack up some points in pass game. I project him over 5 targets.
Legarrette Blount vs Phi ($5100) – NE should be able to floor Philadelphia and set Blount up for a nice game. Blount is GPP for me only, but I like NE to burn Philly this week through the air and then feed Blount. He absolutely has 2 TD upside, which is what you look for in GPP plays. He also doesn’t have a green number next to his name, which works in your favor.
Shaun Draughn @ Chi ($4000) – My cash teams will have cheap backs for sure. Draughn is just like my top 3 guys when it comes to volume and is in a great matchup. Because he is with the Niners I expected his ownership to be low (but a lot of sharp people are talking about him). Hopefully he is sneaky this week so we can make some money off him. Chicago is middle of the road against the run, but that doesn’t hurt Draughn who has 17 catches in the last 3 games.
David Johnson @ Stl ($3400)- Don’t be fooled, STL is a good D and held the Cardinals in check earlier this year. But with limited touches, Johnson has been excellent this year. I got to meet this guy before the draft and he is a humble player who is hungry to prove himself. He gets his chance this week and I believe he will crush value. I expect him to be mega chalky but projects similar to Draughn and the others above. I have him in cash and GPP.
